Licensing could just be the answer to Italy’s current economic slump, according to the organisers of the Bologna Licensing trade Fair.
As preparations for the eighth BLTF get underway, BolognaFiere reports that the fair’s newest initiative – Licensing Prospect Day – has been picking up a ‘great deal of interest’ from companies across the region.
The networking event aims to introduce new Italian manufacturing companies to the licensing world and will take place during this year’s Bologna fair.
The first ever Licensing Prospect Day – run in cooperation with the Italian trade magazine, Largo Consumo – will be held on March 31st, and has already seen more than 20 companies from accessories, fashion and food sectors, join.
Attending companies will participate in an agenda of meetings with around 50 companies exhibiting at the BLTF.
‘The aim of this initiative is to give the participating companies, who have not yet concrete experiences in the field of licensing, the opportunity to contemplate partnerships or to tighten trade agreements for the development of new products under license,’ read a statement from the show’s organisers, BolognaFiere.
