Brand Licensing Europe 2012 opens

The 14th BLE is set to be the best attended yet with over 2,200 worldwide brands, characters images and artwork on show.

Brand Licensing Europe 2012 has opened and over 280 brand owners are in attendance.

The amount of exhibitors has grown 25 per cent this year with around 90 newcomers including Bin Weevils, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros Consumer Products and Sony Computer Entertainment.

Event director Jessica Blue said: “If you are involved in licensing, then a visit to BLE is a must. The show is the only place in Europe to find out what’s hot in licensing. This year’s show is set to be the best attended yet with over 2,200 worldwide brands, characters, images and artwork on display, giving you the opportunity to negotiate deals directly with the biggest names in the industry.”

This year at the Licensing Academy LIMA UK’s Kelvyn Gardener is hosting daily ‘beginners guide to the business’ seminars while this year’s keynote is from co-creator of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kevin Eastman. Analysts NPD, GfK Group and Planet Retail are also talking in the ‘Academy – click here to see the full list of presentations and times.

Also, in the Screening Suite, attendees can see advanced previews of blockbusters from the likes of DreamWorks, Sony Pictures and Twentiteh Century Fox. Check out the full programme here.
