British Academy Children's Awards 2012 nominations revealed

Horrible Histories, Tracy Beaker, Deadly 60, Peppa Pig and Rastamouse all on the shortlist.

BAFTA has announced the nominations for the 2012 British Academy Children's Awards.

This year's accolades will be presented on Sunday November 25th at the London Hilton, Park Lane. The event will be hosted by Blue Peter presenter, Barney Harwood.

Key nominations from a licensing point of view include three nods for Horrible Histories (Comedy, Writer and Performer); Deadly 60 (Factual); Peppa Pig, Rastamouse, Timmy Time and Tree Fu Tom (Pre-School Animation); and Ha Ha Hairies, Justin's House and Something Special (Pre-school Live Action).

The shortlist for the BAFTA Kids' Vote is also strong in each category this year.

Film nominees include The Hunger Games, Marvel Avengers Assemble, Ice Age 4 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1; and in TV, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Tracy Beaker Returns, Phineas and Ferb, House of Anubis and Almost Naked Animals.

Video games nominees include FIFA 12, Mario & Sonic London 2012 Olympic Games, Skylanders: Spyro's Adventures and Temple Run among others.

Meanwhile, BinWeevils, Club Penguin, LEGO, Miniclip and Moshi Monsters will be among the websites fighting it out.
