This month's Kazachok Licensing Forum will play host to a special charity auction in aid of Les Toiles Enchantées.
The association was launched in 1997, and enables sick or disabled children to see screenings of films as soon as they are released or sometimes before, in the hospitals or wards in which they are being treated.
A silent auction will be held on the first day of the fair - Wednesday April 17th. Guests will be able to bid and rebid throughout the day, with an auctioneer offering guests a final chance at the closing cocktails before knocking down the exclusive items.
Auctioned items will include two comic books about the adventures of Tony Parker and the High 5 team, autographed by the NBA star; a 15cm Caliméro doll by Lenci; a collector's edition Kimmidoll figurine; a Pénélope canvas signed by artist Georg Hallensieben; Babar artwork; and a Julius Dance Machine by Paul Frank among others.
"We feel it's perfectly normal for our event to help Les Toiles Enchantées," said Kazachok's Nathalie Chouraqui. "The association has the same goal and target as licensing: to make kids happy and develop their imaginations."
