The Lollibop children's festival will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London in 2013.

The family event will grow in capacity to include 45,000 visitors, after selling out at Regent's Park in 2012 with 30,000 visitors.

Lollibop 2013 will run on August 16th, 17th and 18th. It's billed as the only festival where all the activity is programmed for children under ten years old.

Headline acts are still to be announced, but organisers SBH Events promises there will be a mix of "big names from the world of children’s entertainment", including popular characters and toy companies.

There will also be other fun activities, performances and educational zones at the show.

Several kids' brands had a presence at Lollibop 2012 including ZingZillas, Mister Maker, The Gruffalo, Moshi Monsters, Skylanders, Dick & Dom and more.

Event Manager Jenny Kane said: "We are really excited to be taking LolliBop to the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This is the first children’s event to take place in what looks set to become one of the premier event locations in the UK.

"The festival has gone from strength to strength since launching in 2011 and this location gives us great scope to further grow and develop the event. It’s an amazing opportunity for LolliBop to be part of such an important legacy."

Dennis Hone, Chief Executive at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, added: "We are delighted to be welcoming LolliBop to join this year’s line-up. LolliBop encompasses some of the best loved names in children’s entertainment, as well as quality theatre, crafts and activities.

"Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park begins to open from July 2013 and will be fully open from spring 2014. We are on track to deliver a fantastic summer events series and a great legacy for East London."
