The first Licensing@Russia event was rounded off last week by a special 'Russian Day', jointly organised with the Russian toy association.
The day was moderated by Ilya Popov, president of the Association of Animation Studios. It included a research presentation from Phillipe Guiaudeau on popular Russian brands and comparisons between Russia and other key licensing markets.
There was also a talk on 100 years of Russian animation from Nikolai Makovsky, director general of Soyuzmultifilm, Russia's oldest animation studio.
"Completing our event with a day entirely focused on educating our local and international visitors about the Russian market was undoubtedly the right thing to do," said Goran Krnjak, co-organiser of Licensing@Russia. "We were very pleased with how it went."
