RDF Kids & Family arrived at Mipcom Junior and Mipcom at the weekend with a slate of new programming, including several recommissions.
Big Barn Farm (pictured) will be retruning for a second 20x15-minute series on Cbeebies after series one was consistently one of its highest rated shows. Featuring real life 'talking' animals, Big Barn Farm follows the day-to-day adventures of farmyard animals using a combination of live action and animation.
Last month, Dani's House - the new vehicle for Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer - launched on CBBC/BBC One. The series is due to run weekly up to Christmas, mixing narrative and sketch comedy.
Another new addition on the drama front is Sherlock Holmes and the Baker Street Irregulars, starring Jonathan Pryce as Sherlock Holmes, while series five of children's factual entertainment show Fingertips will be airing on CITV this autumn.
Yo Gabba Gabba has been recommissioned for a second 20x30-minute series, while Escape from Scorpion Island returned to BBC2 last month. A total of 106x30-minute episodes now feature in the RDF Kids & Family catalogue.
Finally, Cbeebies make-and-do show Mister Maker has been recommissioned for a further two series, meaning RDF will ne representing a total of 60x20-minute episiodes, which will be rolled out across Cbeebies in 2009 and 2010. Last autumn, the first series debuted to a 34 per cent share for 0-6 year olds, making it Cbeebies' highest rating show of 2007.
