Entertainment Rights has secured the distribution rights to the latest 13 episodes for the new Transformers Animated series, bringing the total number of episodes currently available to 42.
Following success at Mipcom earlier this month, the new episodes have generated a great deal of interest among international buyers and new deals have been secured across the UK, France, Italy and Mexico, as well as pan regional deals within both Asia and Latin America. Confirmed partners will be revealed shortly.
The new deals follow sales concluded for the original series, which has been sold to date in over 80 territories, including: Mediaset (Italy), Turner Broadcasting (Australia, Latin America and India), Jetix (Israel, Netherlands and Belgium), Network 10 (Australia), TV3 (New Zealand), Mediacorp TV12 (Singapore), TV Globo (Brazil), Nickelodeon (UK), Gulli (France) and Super RTL (Germany).
"Already sold in more than 80 territories, these brand new episodes make the series all the more compelling to broadcasters and viewers alike," said Chloe van den Berg, executive director, international at ER.
ER holds the worldwide television distribution rights (excluding Japan and North America) for Transformers Animated.
