New licensing deals announced for The Jim Henson Company's pre-school brands

Following MIPTV, The Jim Henson Company has announced a string of new licensing deals for its varied pre-school brands.

The licensing agreements cover properties including Dinosaur Train, Doozers and Sid the Science Kid series.

For Dinosaur Train, Netflix has snapped up global SVOD rights for season one of the series, while TVO has acquired the free TV rights for the all-new season four for English speaking Canada

Other companies on board for the show include France Televisions, MVTA, Tring TV and Multichoice Africa Limited.

Elsewhere, Germany’s online subscription video on demand service Watchever GmbH has secured the rights to Doozers, and France Televisions Distribution has acquired TVOD rights for France. Plus, POD Worldwide has taken on Doozers for free TV airing in Thailand.

Lastly, global SVOD rights for Sid the Science Kid and Sid the Science Kid: The Movie have been given to Netflix, while the likes of Discovery Education, Movile Internet Movel and Tring TV are also on board.
