The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) has begun to source licensees in the home textiles, stationery/print, ceramics/glassware, souvenir and jewellery categories.
Appointed licensees will be tasked with designing and manufacturing products across a selection of IP, namely the core London 2012 branding, the official mascots, sporting pictograms, Team GB and Paralympics GB.
Meanwhile, there's just one week left for those wishing to register their interest in the toys and games category. It's open until Friday June 5th.
"The London 2012 licensing programme is progressing well and there are significant opportunities for companies to get involved with the Games," said Simon Lilley, senior manager of licensing and retail for LOCOG. "We're looking for innovative responses from companies which can offer expertise and creativity in these sectors."
Deadline for home textiles entrants is Friday June 12th; stationery and print, Friday June 19th; souvenirs, Friday July 3rd; ceramics and glassware, Friday July 10th; and jewellery, Friday July 24th.
