The show properly opens its doors today and as well as the activity on the show floor, there is also a full conference programme.
Kicking it all off between 9am and 10.30am is Licensing Valuation & Royalty Rate Trends, moderated by Greg Battersby, co-founder and senior partner at Grimes & Battersby. Panellists are Paul Cohen (president, Creatif Licensing); Allan Feldman (president and CEO, Leveraged Marketing Corporation of America); Mark Matheny (CEO and president, Global Brands); Mark A Roesler (chairman and CEO, CMG Worldwide); and Scott Todd (United Media).
Licensing 201: Advanced Licensing Strategies is also held between 9am and 10.30am, moderated by Stu Seltzer (president, Marketing on Demand), as is How To Maximise Your Brand Presence and Penetrate the Potential Chinese Market via Hong Kong, moderated by Danny Simon (president, The Licensing Group).
The three sessions held between 10.45am and 12.15pm are Basic Training for First Time Licensees (moderated by Val Formica, president, Gateway Licensing); Entertainment Roundtable (featuring representatives from Disney Stores Worldwide, Cartoon Network Enterprises and Sesame Workshop); and Innovative Promotions and Creative Public Relations (moderated by Michael Peikoff, senior VP at Fox L&M).
Another three sessions are available to choose from between 12.30pm and 2pm. These are Working with Licensing Agents and Consultants; Getting Your Licensed Products on to Retailer’s Shelf; and Extending Your Brand Globally (moderated by Licensing.biz Executive Advisory Board member Ciaran Coyle, MD UK of The Beanstalk Group).
Rounding off the conference programme for Tuesday between 2.15pm and 3.45pm will be Key Trends in Corporate Brand Licensing; The New Consumer, The New Retail and Licensing in the New World; and Key Trends in Children’s Products.
