The London 2012 – Official Mobile Game has become the most downloaded game on the Apple App Store during the past few days.

The licensed release – which is priced at 69p – currently sits above huge games including Angry Birds Space, Cut the Rope and Fruit Ninja.

Plus, when taking all other apps into account, including non-gaming ones, it’s the third most popular paid-for download on the App Store, behind WhatsApp Messenger and ToonCamera.

It’s been produced by Neowiz and allows users to take part in a variety of Olympic games such as swimming, archery and athletic sprint events.

Users can play the London 2012 Official Mobile Game on iPhone or iPad, and are able to spend more money in-game to unlock extra content.
