Award winning comedian Russell Kane is to host this September's Licensing Awards.

Kane will unveil the winners of the sought-after accolades on September 11th in The Great Room of London's Grosvenor House Hotel, in front of some 1,300 retailers, licensees and licensors.

In the last year alone, he has won the Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award for his show Smokescreens & Castles, has appeared on Live at the Apollo and co-hosted ITV's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here Now and BBC2's Out to Lunch series.

"Russell Kane is the perfect host for The Awards; a brilliant comedian with a sharp wit to match that of the licensing fraternity," said Ian Hyder, director of The Licensing Awards and The Licensing Source Book (which owns and organises the event).
