Spring Fair International 2011 attracted its highest attendance in five years, according to early figures from Emap Connect.

The event attracted 74,000 visitors over the five days (subject to final audit), the largest number of retailers to check out the show since 2006.

Emap invested £1 million in the show this year, with new areas and content including two catwalks, the Trend House and Café, a Toy Demo area, a Tasting Table in the Gift Food & Confectionery zone, the Graffiti and Lifestyle bars, links between halls and a new VIP entrance.

Louise Young, MD of Emap Connect Home & Gift, said: "Visitors embraced the changes we made this year and we are delighted that new features such as The Trend House and Fashion Accessories catwalk proved such a hit."

Spring Fair 2012 will run from February 5th to 9th at the Birmingham NEC.
