The UK Toy Fair has sold out its exhibition space for this year - with 180 companies due to appear on the show floor at Olympia between January 26th and 28th.

The show has welcomed 65 new and returning exhibitors, with organiser BTHA having now opened a waiting list for potential exhibitors.

Visitor registrations for the event are also up 35 per cent on this time last year, while retailers have also been flocking to sign up. Those registered so far include Amazon, Argos, Asda, Boots, Comet, Debenhams, John Lewis, Mothercare, Tesco, Play.com, Sainsbury's and Toys R Us among others, as well as a number of independent stores.

"Toy Fair 2010 is on a par with Toy Fair 2009 in terms of exhibitor numbers and exhibitor space; a fantastic position for us to be in considering the impact the current economical turmoil has had on many trade shows this year," said Simon Pilling, BTHA fairs and events manager.
