VEGAS 2015: Wild Kratts grows licensing portfolio

9 Story Media Group is expanding the Wild Kratts licensing programme with new partners across dress-up, toys and homeware.

The latest licensees to sign with the popular animated adventure series include In Character for Halloween costumes, Pressman for new games and puzzles and Decopac for a selection of cake toppers.

The new products are expected to launch this autumn.

Master toy licensee Wicked Cool Toys launched a broad range of lines at Toys R Us last year which included power suits, action figures, plush and vehicle sets. Following reportedly strong performance at retail, new lines have been added and will roll out at Kmart and Target stores this autumn.

Elsewhere, Random House Kids released the first Wild Kratts books in the US and Canada as part of the publisher’s Step Into Reading Programme.

Popularity of the series in Germany has seen Kratts Brother Company and 9 Story strike a deal with Panini to launch a Wild Kratts magazine in July, while DVDs also continue to ‘exceed expectations in the territory.’

Wild Kratss now airs in over 180 countries across 18 different languages with broadcast partners including Discovery Kids, Super RTL, TV3, Canal Panda and more.
