LMFAO’s Sky Blu has created a hip-hop version of the Small Potatoes song ‘Imagination’ as a track to feature on his debut solo album.
The Grammy-nominated artist teamed up with producer Mark Rosas and rapper Shwayze on the hip-hop version of the track, which was written by Little Airplane’s Josh Selig and originally performed animated TV stars the Small Potatoes.
“We are so excited that artists of the calibre of Sky Blu, Mark Rosas and Shwayze have given the Small Potatoes song, ‘Imagination’, a grown-up, hip-hop twist,” said Small Potatoes’ creator and founder of Little Airplane Productions Josh Selig.
“Small Potatoes was created to celebrate music in all its forms and we’re thrilled that this song is being reinvented on such a high profile platform for a whole new audience”.
Sky Blu’s new version of ‘Imagination’ appears on his debut solo album Rebel Music and an animated video for the track will be released in the next few weeks.
“Anytime one gets the opportunity to create music for children, it’s a blessing," added Sky Blu.
"I’m about showing others how to embrace their creative energy. We were able to make the song great for all ages. It was an honour indeed."
