Macmillan Children’s Books teams with Nurture Rights for new Dinosaur Roar titles

Macmillan Children’s Books has secured the worldwide publishing rights to to the popular kids’ property Dinosaur Roar.

In partnership with the rights owner, Nurture Rights, the deal will see Macmillan develop and expand the literary property into new formats and series inspired by the original title.

Macmillan Children’s Books will re-launch the original title in paperback in May 2016 ahead of the release of a board book edition in June this year and a sound book later in the year.

Stephanie Barton, publisher at Macmillan Children’s Books, said: “I have always loved Dinosaur Roar. It is an evergreen pre-school title, full of child appeal and great fun to read out loud.

“To have the chance to publish not only the classic book but to develop a range of new titles inspired by the original, and also to work with the Natural History Museum, is hugely exciting for us.”

Nurture Right has also recently secured a deal with the Natural History Museum to develop and market Dinosaur Roar and is currently working with the group’s palaeontology team to build an authentic dinosaur property for the under sixes, with interactive content.

Nick Barrington, managing director of Nurture Rights, added: “We are delighted to have Macmillan Children’s Books on board as our new publishing partner for Dinosaur Roar.
