Manchester United has secured two sponsorship deals in China.
First up, the football club has signed a three-year agreement with Chinese soft drinks manufacturer, Wahaha. The drinks brand will become the club’s first Official Soft Drinks Partner in China.
"This is the club’s first sponsorship of its kind in China and we are delighted to be able to work with a company which, like Manchester United, is dedicated to innovation and leadership in its field," said commercial director, Richard Arnold. "Wahaha is one of the most iconic brands in China and one that has come to symbolise the dynamism and strength of the modern Chinese economy."
In addition, China Construction Bank will hold the rights to exclusively produce the official Manchester United branded credit card in mainland China.
The partnership is the club’s first sponsorship with a Chinese bank.
Arnold added: "Through our relationship with CCB we hope not only to give fans an excellent product, but also bring them closer to the club they so passionately support."
