Mattel has revealed the winners of its 2014 Pingu Awards, celebrating the best-in-class across its portfolio of licensees.
HTI, the creator of the Barbie Colour Change Glam Bag, picked up the accolade for the Most Innovative Product and has been commended by Mattel for its innovation within the toy category.
Markwins has been applauded for its innovation across three key brands – Barbie, Ever After High and Monster High – taking home the award for Best Hard Lines Product.
Meanwhile, Marks & Spencer’s has been praised for its imaginative soft lines range, featuring the winning LED flashing light Fireman Sam t-shirt.
Fireman Sam also helped Character Options to victory as the firm won Range of the Year with its collection of pre-school toys inspired by the iconic firefighter.
Licensee of the Year was presented to Egmont with new book formats launching this year, including the first Thomas & Friends picture book in honour of the locomotive’s 70th anniversary.
Publishing Product of the Year went to Parragon for its Monster High Make a Skullette Kit, while Newcomer of the Year went to Heaven Made Foods for it reusable Thomas & friends jelly pots.
