Joint MD of Max Publishing and The Licensing Awards, Ian Hyder is set to tackle the London Marathon in April.
Hyder will be raising money for licensing industry charity, The Light Fund, and supporting The Children’s Trust Hospital, when he takes part in the 26.2-mile journey through the capital on Sunday April 21st.
"In a moment of madness – very possibly the result of a mid-life crisis – I decided to run the London Marathon and am now deep into my training," said Hyder. "This is leading to pain beyond imagining and problems with muscles I didn’t even know I had.
"However, it’s all for a fantastic cause and although I can’t say I will be troubling the leaders when race day comes, I can promise that I will be doing everything necessary to make sure I cross that finish line.
"I’m hoping that everybody in licensing will want to get behind me and give what they can to help raise a whole heap of cash for The Light Fund."
