Advanstar is celebrating the biggest and best Spring Fling yet, after 170 industry execs packed into Covent Garden's Sway Bar last week.

Organised by Advanstar's Brand Licensing Europe team, the networking evening followed the LIMA UK Licensing Essentials Course. This saw 62 delegates and speakers participate in interactive sessions covering music and sports licensing, counterfeiting and revenue protection, viral marketing and legal and commercial terms for licensing agreements.

Among the speakers were Andy Allen from Backstreet International Merchandise; Chris Protheroe from CPLG Sports; Graham Norris from the IP Crime Unit; Rob Wijeratna, Joint MD of Rocket Licensing and Jeremy Saul from Brand 360.

Following the day course, the panel discussion was made up of Character World's Danny Schweiger, Graham Saltmarsh from Turner CN Enterprises, Mike Redfern from Blueprint Designs, Allsorts' John McInnerny and Josephine Collins from License Global.

"We're delighted with what has turned out to be our best Spring Fling yet," Humaira Kaiser, marketing manager for Brand Licensing Europe, told "The turnout was fantastic and just goes to show that in challenging times it's important to get out there and network with your industry."
