BLE 2011: Advanstar appoints new marketing manager

Advanstar Licensing has appointed a new marketing manager to handle the activities for its flagship exhibitions across Europe.

Rachel Cowdrey was previously head of marketing at SMi Group, leading a team of eight people and overseeing the marketing of over 100 conferences, workshops and master classes a year.

"The chance to join Advanstar at such an exciting period in the growth of the licensing industry was an opportunity I simply could not pass up," said Cowdrey. "The Advanstar licensing events are the biggest in the industry and are continuing to grow year on year.

"The different exhibitions each have a strong brand identity and through continued advancements in the digital sphere, we look forward to developing this further with many successful events ahead."
