The Brand Licensing Europe team will be packing its bags and heading off to New York for this year’s Licensing International – flying the flag for the European side of the business, as well as promoting the benefits of attending and exhibiting in London this October.
Organiser Advanstar is aiming high for this year’s BLE – which is celebrating its tenth anniversary – aiming to create a show that is 30 per cent bigger than last year and the best in its entire history. The team is anticipating around 220 exhibitors, 3,000 properties and 5,000 visitors to head to Olympia for the two-day event.
And it’s had a good start – five months out and the event is ten per cent up on 2007 with the likes of Aardman, Bang on the Door, BBC Worldwide, Beanstalk, Chapman, Chorion, Christie’s Images, Dorna Sports, ER, Granada, Hit, Jetix, Lego, Manchester United Merchandising, Target, Natural History Museum, 20th Century Fox and V&A Enterprises among those already on the exhibitor list.
The property list also features new brands such as MI High (Metrostar), Rebel Toons (American Retro Museum), Marvo and Chuggington (Ludorum), Bakugan and Ben 10 (Cartoon Network), Timmy and Chop Socky Chooks (Aardman), Thumb Wrestling Federation (Bulldog), Skunk Fu (Galleon), Brainiac (Start Licensing) and Pat & Stan (TV Loonland).
