'Brand Bobsleigh' gathers pace

Dedicated logo revealed; more names sign up with just over four weeks to go.

The Light Fund Bobsleigh team now has its own branding - thanks to team member Geoff Reynolds at Pedigree Books and his designers.

Reynolds is already using the logo on his collectioon boxes, while other team members will also be incorporating it into their fundraising activities.

The Bobsleigh takes place between March 2nd and 4th at Ingles, just outside Innsbruck. Just in case you don't know, here's what it involves: two rides over a length of 1,220 metres, with 14 bends to negotiate and a vertical drop from start to finish of 98.1 metres. Speeds of up to 80mph will be reached on some bends and bobsleighers will experience five times the force of gravity.

Each team member is raising at least £200 sponsorship, while corporate involvement is also being sought - with the first deals likely to be announced shortly.

"The logo is a great asset," said event organiser Stephen Gould. "Who knows, given time we could go on to develop a whole style guide and I am very grateful to Geoff and all at Pedigree for their hard work and creativity.
