Egmont Publishing Group has signed a deal with Kudos Rights to publish a range the books. The three year deal was agented by Metrostar for Kudos.
The book range will include fiction, colouring & activity, annuals and novelty books, which will launch with an annual in August 2011, followed by a series of original fiction.
David Riley, managing director of Egmont Publishing Group said: “Egmont is delighted to be working with Kudos on this award-winning series. We are really looking forward to bringing the world of MI High to life on the page.”
Kudos created MI High, a children's drama series about kids working as undercover agents in an inner-city high school. The series has achieved consistently high ratings, with audiences averaging over 200,000 children aged six to twelve per episode (series four, BARB).
MI High will enter its fifth series in January 2011 and Kudos is already in advanced discussions with the BBC about further series.
Martin Haines, head of business affairs, Kudos, said: “We are very excited to be working with Egmont on new publishing for MI High and have total confidence in their ability to create wonderful stories and other books for the many fans of this series.”
