New consumer products company Global Pursuit has appointed Amanda Wang to oversee its licensing and marketing efforts in China.

Wang is a veteran in the field, having almost two decades of experience in the licensing, brand management, retail and planning areas. She worked as Click Licensing Asia’s manager for more than six years.

She looked after brands such as Sesame Street, Pink Panther, Paul Frank, Mr Men and Little Miss at Click, while developing strategies, setting projections and managing a team.

Wang began her career working for export companies B&F International and The Warm Deco. She eventually went on to manager the latter’s art licensing business.

“Amanda brings an impressive track record of success in China,” said Global Pursuit’s president Cynthia Money.

“Her local expertise is unparalleled and we’re sure clients will value the insight she brings to our marketing efforts. This hire is a big step forward for our growing company and gives us a stronger presence in the largest market in the world.”
