Children’s media company, GoldieBlox has launched its first live-action YouTube series, inspired by the popular STEM-themed property.

GoldieBlox launched two new web series called Hack Along with Goldie Blox and Scrappy Robots with Simone Giertz, aimed at inspiring and encouraging children to invent.

Hack Along brings Goldie, the world’s first girl engineer character to life in a new way, with new episodes each Friday focusing on turning everyday objects into fun inventions.

“When I created Goldie, I wanted her to be relatable and real to young girls to remove the intimidation factor that is often associated with STEM,” said Debbie Sterling, founder and CEO of GoldieBlox.

“Creating a strong role model for girls in STEM was important and something that didn’t exist in children’s entertainment. With the launch of the series, I am excited to see Goldie come to life on the screen and inspire the next generation of makers and engineers.”

Goldie’s friend and inventor Simone Giertz is also back with a new GoldieBlox series, Scrappy Robots with Simone Giertz.

Last year, GoldieBlox released its first scripted web series, Toy Hackers, teaching kids how to hack their toys using common household items.
