Hachette teams with YouTube star Tiana for new Rainbow Magic title

Orchard Books, an imprint oft he Hachette Children’s Group, is set to launch a new Rainbow Magic book inspired by Tiana, star of the hit YouTube show Toys AndMe.

Katie Price, licensing director, Hachette Children’s Group, and Anna Solemani, editor, Orchard Books, acquired UK territories and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) from Laura Edwards at iLike Media, and the book - Tiana the Toy Fairy - will publish on October 20th 2016.

"We are extremely excited to be collaborating with top child YouTuber, Toys AndMe to publish a special edition of our bestselling Rainbow Magic series," said Katie Price, licensing director, Hachette Children’s Group.

"Tiana’s YouTube channel Toys AndMe is the 4th biggest in the UK with over 1.6million subscribers and over one billion views, while HIT Entertainment’s Rainbow Magic is the number one-fiction series for girls with sales of over 30 million worldwide. The collaboration is in line with the group’s licensing strategy to attract top YouTube talent."

Rainbow Magic: Tiana the Toy Fairy will be launched at Kidtropolis, where Tiana will be appearing and signing copies of the book on Tuesday, October 25th. 

The publication will be supported by a digital campaign using the Toys AndMe channel to target existing Tiana fans, as well as promoting to Rainbow Magic fans via the extensive database.
