'Licensing Expo is always a highlight in the licencing calendar' says 360 Audit's Henna Riaz

Now that the dust has settled on the Licensing Expo in Vegas, we catch up with Henna Riaz, managing director of 360 Audit, to find out why the event is the ‘perfect environment’ to network with individuals in the industry and whether the team will be returning next year.

How did the Licensing Expo go for you guys?

Fantastic – the three-day exhibition is always a highlight in the licencing calendar and this year was no different. It’s still regarded as one of the most influential and valuable exhibitions in the licensing world and it’s clear why. For me it’s the perfect place to go to meet important individuals from all areas of the industry from retailers and licensees, to brand owners and manufacturers.

The event is renowned for being hectic, so to combat this I always book in appointments and meetings beforehand to ensure I get the most out of it.

How important are events like these to you?

Events and exhibitions such as the Licensing Expo are hugely valuable for my team and I at 360 Audit. They attract individuals from all over the world and from all areas of the industry, which allows us to gain an insight into the latest trends and developments in the industry.

This exhibition, along with others, also provides us with the perfect environment to meet and network with influential individuals to create valuable new business leads and allow us to develop strategic partnerships.

What did you guys get up to at the show?

For me this event is not about exhibiting, it’s about having an opportunity to meet and network with other people in the industry, as I know lots of other businesses and individuals do too.

The three-day exhibition is the perfect place to do this for so many reasons – besides the fact that it’s in Vegas, the party capital of the world. Anyone who’s anyone attends this event so it’s important to be there and meet the right people.

What was your highlight from the show?

My highlight from the show this year was reconnecting with all of my clients based in the US.

Will you be attending next year’s show?

Yes – I wouldn’t dream of missing it.
