Lonely Planet Traveller launches in China

Immediate Media secures deal with Straits Multi-Media for roll out.

One of Taiwan's biggest magazine and book publishers, Straits Multi-Media has launched Lonely Planet Traveller into China.

The first issue of the magazine has a print run of 377,200 and a cover price of 20 Chinese renminbi.

In addition, Straits Multi-Media has also launched BBC Knowledge magazine.

"Launching in China is an incredibly exciting phase for Lonely Planet Traveller magazine, and a clear signal that the consumer travel market is Asia continues to grow at a tremendous pace," said Joanna Marshall, Immediate Media's head of licensing and syndication.
