An extra special curry night at a Hertfordshire restaurant has helped raise further money for The Light Fund as part of the bobsleigh fundraising effort.
The event, organised by Jane Kennedy of RDF Rights, featured a pub-style quiz, and took place last night (February 24th) at the Taste of India in Kings Langley, Herts.
Ten teams of four people paid to take part and then stuck around for a raffle and auction, with the licensing community pitching in with a number of prizes. Martin Yaffe donated two tickets to see Manchester United, RDF Rights contributed a pair of Arsenal tickets, an Emma Bridgewater stationery set came courtesy of Blueprint, and Orla Kiely towels came from Brand 360. Angela and Dave Cullinan donated a champagne river cruise on the Thames, while a host of smaller prizes were also given by Boots.
Proceeds from the event totaled £1,000 and will be added to what the bobsleigh run raises for The Light Fund.
"I'm very grateful to Jane for organising such a wonderful and logistically impressive event and to everyone who donated such a high calibre and impressive array of excellent prizes," said Stephen Gould, organiser of the upcoming bobsleigh event.
