More industry executives have told Licensing.biz that this year's Brand Licensing Europe was one of the best yet, although questions are still being asked over whether the show should move to three days or not.
"I would still like the show to run over a third day – it would help, I think, in managing the flow of business particularly now there are more presentations within the show format," said MD of Start Licensing, Ian Downes.
Sam Johnson, kids brand manager at JCB Consumer Products, added: "Two days is really too short to form really meaningful meetings/discussions, I’d prefer three days."
"Each year we carry out extensive online exhibitor research asking this specific question and each time no more than 30 per cent of exhibitors have said they would prefer a three day show so we have always worked with what the majority wants," commented Jessica Blue, event director of BLE. "As soon as that changes then we will be happy to look at extending the event by an extra day."
