My Singing Monsters enters publishing with Egmont UK

Popular gaming app, My Singing Monsters has signed the master publishing house Egmont UK as its new strategic licensing partner.

The agreement between the publishers and the Canadian video game creators, Big Blue Bubble will see the My Singing Monsters property extended into print as well as digital publishing.

The new roster of published titles will include magazines, handbooks, sticker books and sound books, alongside digital applications such as e-books available through the Android Market and Apple's App Store.

The printed collections will be sold at newsagents, bookstores, supermarkets and book clubs along with direct marketing and online retail.

Emma Cairns Smith, licence acquisition director at Egmont UK, said : "We fell in love with My Singing Monsters and its amazing art, animation and audio effects.

"The lush island imagery and the more than 30 monster species featured in the game offer an abundant style guide to utilise, as well as a variety of personalities to bring to life in books.

"We are excited to be My Singing Monster's publishing partner. It's about time there were some new monsters on the block."

The deal was brokered by Big Blue Bubble's exclusive licensing agency, Tinderbox.
