The exhibitor list for June's Licensing International is continuing to grow, with the National Basketball Association appearing independent for the first time.
The NBA has already made successful in-roads into markets outside of the US, and will be hoping to boost its international credentials further in Vegas.
"The NBA continues to grow on a global basis," said Rob Millman, senior VP of international licensing and business development for the NBA. "The Licensing International Expo has a tremendous ability to attract international buyers, manufacturers, licensees and agents from around the world and through our presence at the expo we expect to form some mutually beneficial new business opportunities."
Liz Crawford, show director at Advanstar, added: "This is a significant milestone in the evolution of Licensing International Expo. The NBA is the most global of all the major US sports leagues and the first to exhibit independently [at the show]. The NBA has quickly become a global lifestyle brand and recognises that Licensing International is the ideal marketplace to meet new international retailers and manufacturers."
