New range of personalised gifts on way for The Beano

Online gift company, Signature Gifts has teamed up with DC Thomson to create a range of personalised gifts based on The Beano and Dennis the Menace.

The new line - being shown at Spring Fair in February - will include a 24-page Birthday Comic Book, personalised posters, calendars and diairies and personalised Beano mugs.

The personalised Beano/Dennis the Menace concept was shortlisted for the 2011 Gift of the Year Awards, held by the Giftware Association.

"Signature Gifts is thrilled to have completed the licensing deal with DC Thomson," commented Mike Herbert, the firm's co-founder. "DC Thomson's Beano characters are known throughout the world and are incredibly popular among all generations. As a result we anticipate that this personalised range will be extremely popular with our customers."
