PUBLISHING MONTH: Egmont bags Richard Hammond's Blast Lab

Popular TV show to transfer content into magazine format for first time.

Egmont UK is to roll out a magazine based on Richard Hammond's Blast Lab.

The BBC2 and CBBC BAFTA award winning show will be featured in a special issue of Egmont's All About... magazine series in May. The deal will be the first time that Blast Lab has taken its content into magazine format and will support the TV and online presence of the show.

The 24-page title will feature science experiments, inventions and quizzes, including telling readers how to make their own magic slime that can turn from liquid to solid and back again, plus make an exploding volcano in their own kitchen.

It will also include three gifts: a H20 blaster, stickers from the show and a kit which will show readers how to build their own cardboard model of Hammond's car from the show, Oliver.
