Registration is now open for the new-look Licensing International 2009, the first show in its 28-year history to be held in Las Vegas.
Much has been made of Advanstar's switch to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, but the show organiser is adamant the move will enable expanded show floor offerings such as new exhibitor categories and improved meeting space, increased educational offerings, plus greater convenience of entertainment and networking events.
Advanstar is expecting more than 500 exhibitors, showing off 6,000 brands between June 2nd and 4th 2009.
Three new exhibit categories will be launched, showcasing the best of sports, fashion and interactive brands. Organisers are currently in discussions with several of the major sporting leagues to lead the charge in the sports category, while Nintendo America is anchoring the interactive space and Bob Mackie Design Group is one of a number of directional labels that will be in the fashion area.
A number of big names have already been confirmed as exhibitors.
"Licensing International Expo offers a unique opportunity to not only learn about the latest licensing opportunities, but to meet directly with brand owners, manufacturers and retailers," said Charles Riotto, president of LIMA. "Licensing can be a great way to gain an edge over the competition and is more important than ever given the economic challenges we are facing today."
Registration is free and can be done online here.
