The event took place on the March 7th and 8th 2011 at the Royal Corinthia Hotel, Budapest. Visitors included representatives from Poland-based retail giant LPP, Magyar Hypermarket, CORA, Mikro Trading AS and Levne Knihy AS.
Local and international licensees, manufacturers and agents in attendance included Egmont Hungary, Lizzycard, Cartamundi, Golden Link Europe and Henkel Magyarorszaig Kft. Total attendance this year reached 293.
Organisers, Advanstar said plans are now afoot to put in place an even stronger line-up for 2012, for which details will be released shortly.

Matjaz Frelih, CEO of Maat Entertainment added: “We were very pleased to be exhibiting at Brand Licensing Central & Eastern Europe for the first time. It is essential for us to be seen at this show in order to conduct business with the right people in Eastern Europe and we had several extremely productive meetings on our booth.
“The level of interest in all of our properties was very positive. There were many important people attending the show whom we are certain we wouldn’t have met had we not exhibited at the show. We will definitely be back next year.”
Nicky Nuydens, business development manager, Studio 100, said: “We were very satisfied with the new contacts we made there and are confident that deals will come out of them.
“The quantity was low but the quality was high which proves it was a good decision to be there.”
Steve Chen of Jast Company commented: “Central and Eastern Europe is a blooming market, so we took this chance to introduce some of our patented sound-product there.
“I would say that the show went well for me, we met several potential customers and now, we are trying hard to follow up and hope to establish the new business relationships in three to nine months. There were many good quality visitors in the first day, we were satisfied with it.”
