Growing online virtual world Space Heroes Universe has been transformed into a cartoon.

The first six-minute episode, Villainy Has a New Name, is now available to view on YouTube (embedded below) and Google Play for free, and is coming to iOS platforms soon.

It went live on December 20th, 2012, and has racked up over 45,000 views so far.

“Our team is passionate about storytelling and we’re excited to share our first ever Space Heroes Universe cartoon,” said Phil Mason, CEO of Bubble Gum Interactive.

“Our fans continually tell us they want to experience the story in new ways and we can’t wait to hear what they think of the adventures of Ace and Kira as they face up to Lord Shadowbot.”

Bubble Gum Interactive will also be attending the Hong Kong toy show next week to explore Space Heroes Universe licensing opportunities.

The company says it is looking forward to developing partnerships and launching the first Space Heroes Universe merchandise in 2013.

The property currently has a major TV advertising campaign running in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
