The Annoying Orange is to make its international TV debut, with The Collective sealing a deal with ABC TV in Australia.

The show, which is currently airing its first season on Cartoon Network in the US, is due to premiere in early 2013 on ABC3.

The broadcast deal was brokered on behalf of The Collective by Stella Projects, which jointly represents the brand in Australia and New Zealand with Gaffney Global Licensing.

The ABC TV deal comes on the heels of The Collective's recent announcement that it will be expanding the Annoying Orange on a global scale with HIP - Henson Independent Properties, The Jim Henson Company's third party licensing banner.

As the exclusive global distributor of the broadcast series, HIP is looking to bring Annoying Orange to additional international TV, home entertainment and digital partners.
