The Broons and oor Wullie have been transformed into bronze statues.

The iconic Scottish characters have been sculpted by Dundee-born Steve Paterson, based on the original sketches of Dudley D. Watkins.

The Bairn, Maw Broon and Granpaw Broon statues are limited to a run of 350 each, while the Oor Wullie and PC Murdoch piece is limited to 250.

Each statue is numbered and comes with a special signed certificate complete with exclusive gift wrap.

DC Thomson Licensing Manager Martin Lindsay said: "The Broons and Oor Wullie are national institutions in Scotland and it is fitting to now have them immortalised in bronze."

The Broons and Oor Wullie comic strips appear every week in The Sunday Post published by DC Thomson.
