A total of 1,312 delegates have signed up for next week's Kidscreen Summit in New York, meaning it is on track to entertain its largest ever crowd.

The Summit - which runs from February 13th to 15th - will also welcome 42 countries, making it the most globally representative to date. Delegates will be attending from all around the world, with bigger groups than last year coming from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the Middle East.

There has also been a significant increase in registrants from Asia Pacific - in particular from South Korea, Taiwan and China - as well as from South America, with a stronger Brazilian contingent and with Barbados represented for the first time.

Ten per cent of the attendees will hail from the licensing and merchandising side of the business, with 17.4 per cent of the delegation coming from the TV broadcast universe.

"We want our event to be relevant to everyone in the business, so we are delighted to be attracting delegates from such a wide range of professional specialities and from so many international regions," said Jocelyn Christie, director of events at Kidscreen. "Having so many different perspectives present should make for a really insightful, informative and inspiring three days."
