Egmont is celebrating record sales for its collection of books based on pre-school property, Waybuloo.
Since its publishing programme first launched in August 2009, Egmont has shifted over half a million books, resulting in revenues of over £1.1 million.
Figures from Nielsen Bookscan showed that Waybuloo outperformed other pre-school character book launches in 2009, such as 3rd and Bird and Chuggington.
Some 19 titles have been published to date across a range of formats including storybooks, board, novelty, colouring and activity books.
Egmont is planning to publish 12 new titles throughout 2011.
