Miffy grows global reach with Spanish debut on TVE Clan

Popular CGI series Miffy’s Adventures Big and Small is growing its international reach as it prepares to make its debut in Spain this year.

The series is set to premiere in the territory on June 20th where it will air on TVE Clan.

The deal is the latest move from property owner Mercis to grow the global licensing activity for the hit series.

Mercis has also commissioned the London-based animation studio and Blue-Zoo to develop a third series of the show for current audiences, following the positive reception to the first two seasons that launched in 2015/16.

“We are delighted that this show is bringing Miffy into the homes of a new generation of children across the globe,” said Frank Padberg, producer at Mercis bv.

“It’s also clear that the combination of universal storylines, Dick Bruna’s charming characters and the quality of Blue-Zoo’s animation are resonating with both parents and toddlers worldwide.”

With episodes running at seven minutes each, Miffy’s Adventures Big and Small embraces the look of Dick Bruna’s original storybooks and follows Miffy through a series of stories and songs.
