Mike Tyson solves crime in new parody animation series

There’s a new breed of detective on the way as Warner Bros Animation and Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim prepare to launch Mike Tyson Mysteries.

The series – starring the one-time heavyweight boxer (voiced by the man himself) – is a parody of the celebrity-endorsed cartoons of the 70s and 80s, reports Escapist Magazine.

Mike Tyson Mysteries features Iron Mike solving crimes alongside his team of compatriots, including his adopted Korean daughter, a talking pigeon and the ghost of John Chambers, the Ninth Marquess of Queensbury.

The first trailer for the new animated series was aired at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, and toy manufacturer, Bif Bang Pow has already signed to develop a range of Mike Tyson Mysteries collectibles.

The firm’s line of action figures, including a Mike Tyson with Boxing Gloves debuted at the convention from July 23rd to 27th.

This latest partnership between Bif Bang Pow and Warner Bros. builds on the firm’s existing partnership for products based on The Big Bang Theory.

“We’re truly excited to expand our partnership with warner Bros. Consumer Products and appreciate the opportunity to work with great licenses like The Big Bang Theory, and now Mike Tyson Mysteries,” said Jason Labowitz, president of Bif Bang Pow.

“The Bif Bang Pow creative team has come up with some fun new designs that avid fans and collectors will enjoy.”
