Two of Walker Books’ celebrated illustrators will have their work featured in a new line of children’s t-shirts from clothing company, Mini Boden.
Illustrations from books by Flora McDonnell and Charlotte Voake will appear on the new range of t-shirts launched this month.
McDonnell won the Mother Goose Award in 1995 for her book I Love Animals, and has created numerous picture books for young children, as well as illustrating work by other authors.
Mini Boden will use two pieces of her artwork, taken from Walker picture books, Giddy Up Let’s Ride and Flora McDonnell’s ABC.
Meanwhile, Voake is perhaps best known for her Ginger books featuring stories about Ginger the cat. Mini Boden has chosen artwork from her book Mrs Goose’s Baby to appear as part of the range.
"Walker Books is home to the best in children’s book illustration and we are always looking for new licensing opportunities that allow us to showcase some of the extraordinary talent on our list," said Anna Hewitt, head of licensing at Walker Books. "Mini Boden share our commitment to quality and creativity and we couldn’t ask for a more discerning partner to introduce our illustrators to a wider audience."
