Miraculous scoops Spanish licensing awards

Planeta Junior’s hit animated series has scooped a pair of prestigious awards from the Spanish 15th annual licensing award show, Licencias de Actualidad.

The brand took home Best License of the Year and Best Entertainment Property, as well as Best Licensing Promotion for the Tosta Rica agreement.

Licencias de Actualidad magazine presents awards voted for by licensing professionals, which recognise the work of licensing agents in the Spanish market in 2017.

“We are very excited by these awards, which praise the work of the entire Planeta Junior Iberia team and our licensees, who have made the Miraculous Ladybug licensing programme such a success," said Antonella Ceraso, country manager for Planeta Junior Spain.

"Spain is one of the world’s strongest markets for this property, and thanks to the work with our licensees, the Ladybug phenomenon is unbeatable in our home market. We are very proud to continue working with our favourite super‐heroine and new Zag Heroes like Zak Storm, thanks to our partnership with ZAG, who have created these series and many new series to come.”

All categories in the ZAG HEROEZ Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir licensing programme are already covered for Spain, and the property recently opened an exclusive store in Amazon Spain.
