Apps, books and craft kits on the way.

Mister Maker lands new UK partners

Zodiak Kids has announced the appointment of new UK partners for its popular CBeebies pre-school show Mister Maker.

There’s a new publishing partner, a digital publishing partner and the renewal of arts and craft partner.

P2 Entertainment Limited has acquired the licence to produce the first Mister Maker mobile and tablet app in the UK and worldwide.

The app will initially be available through the iTunes platform but will be on other mobile platforms when launched this summer.

Priced at £2.99, the app will feature a series of games that allow children to take part in specific challenges to create ‘minute makes’ to share with others.

As publishing partner for Mister Maker, Igloo Books plans to launch a range of books in all mass market retailers across the UK and Eire.

Aimed at three to six-year-olds, the books will be produced in interactive formats including sticker, activity and colouring books.

Retailing at £4.99, the first title in the range will be available from Summer 2013.

Zodiak Kids has also renewed its agreement with Creativity International which will continue to create the Mister Maker arts and craft packs.

Jennifer Lawlor, Senior Vice President Consumer Products at Zodiak Kids London, said: "Mister Maker keeps going from strength to strength, the viewing figures are fantastic and the products just keep selling.

"I’m delighted that we are moving into two more exciting categories and I’m very confident that we will deliver more great sales."

The new deals follow the announcement of a brand new series for CBeebies, Mister Maker Around the World, in which Mister Maker will travel the world visiting children to learn about art in their countries.
