Mothercare launches UK-wide Snoopy campaign as Peanuts picks up “huge traction” with consumers

A 25-piece Snoopy apparel and accessories collection has launched at Mothercare stores across the UK, with lines from Paul Dennicci, Aykroyds and Misirli.

The range also features bags and umbrellas from William Lamb and plush from Aurora, all of which star the classic characters Snoopy and Woodstock from the exclusive infant category Snoopy style guide.

Mothercare has supported the launch with window displays in key stores and posts across its social media channels.

Tania Bines, sales and merchandise director at Paul Dennicci, said: “We have loved designing this new Snoopy range for Mothercare. The collection was inspired by the monochrome trend with pops of mustard and navy coming through; this stylish yet durable vibe is at the heart of everything we design.

“Each piece has an element of fun with padded and textured characters. We endeavour to make each garment perfect, from the fabric choices right up to the finishing touches.”

The deal was brokered by the licensing agency, CPLG,

John Taylor, commercial director UK at CPLG, added: “We are seeing huge traction on the Peanuts brand and we are so excited to see this range launch. Licensees have worked hard to get a consistent look across the range, which really shows in the final results and creates a strong impact in store.”

Tara Botwick, senior director, international territory management for Peanuts Worldwide, concluded: “Expanding the Peanuts presence in the baby and toddler demographic is an important part of our commercial strategy, and working with a beloved UK retailer such as Mothercare is a significant component of that strategy.

“The care that was put in to the design of this programme captures the sweetness of Snoopy and Woodstock that parents love.”
